Every MSI EverLife style on this page is built one of three ways: rigid core, hybrid rigid core or DryBack glue-down. Each one is topped with MSI’s CrystaLux™ wear layer, which protects against scratches, spills, pet accidents, indentations and sun damage. The construction decides how the floor installs, how it feels underfoot and which rooms it suits best.
| Construction | Styles on this page | Thickness | Underlayment | Installation | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rigid core | Andover, Ashton, XL Ashton, Cyrus, XL Cyrus, Prescott, XL Prescott, Laurel, Woodhills, Trecento, XL Trecento, Wayne Parc Reserve | 4.4 to 7 mm | 1 mm IXPE acoustic pad, attached | Glueless click, floating | Kitchens, baths and whole-home installs over most flat subfloors |
| Hybrid rigid core | Smithcliffs | 10 mm | 2 mm closed-cell pad, attached | Glueless click, floating, all grade levels | Basements, laundry rooms and busy family spaces where a thicker, quieter plank pays off |
| DryBack glue-down | Glenridge, Katavia | 2 mm | None; glued to the subfloor | Glue down | Large open areas, rooms with rolling loads, and light commercial spaces |

EverLife Hybrid Rigid Core is MSI’s thickest, quietest EverLife plank, and it is 100% waterproof. Smithcliffs is the hybrid style on this page: a 7.7" x 48" plank, 10 mm thick, with the pad already attached, so it goes straight down over most existing hard surfaces without a separate underlayment. It is rated for all grade levels, including basements.
Smithcliffs is backed by a lifetime limited residential warranty, a 15-year limited light commercial warranty and a 10-year limited commercial warranty. [VERIFY: against MSI’s current Hybrid Rigid Core warranty brochure]
EverLife’s rigid-core planks and tiles are 100% waterproof click-together floors with a 1 mm IXPE acoustic pad attached. They float over most flat subfloors with no glue, which makes them the quickest EverLife floor to install. Wear layers run from 6 mil on Ashton to 20 mil on Andover, Laurel and Prescott, and 30 mil on Wayne Parc Reserve, so the right choice depends on how much traffic the room sees.
Glenridge and Katavia are flexible 2 mm planks glued directly to the subfloor. A glued floor does not move, so it suits large open areas, rooms with rolling chairs or carts, and light commercial spaces.

It is MSI’s thickest EverLife plank: a 100% waterproof click-together floor, 10 mm thick, with a 2 mm closed-cell pad attached. Smithcliffs is the hybrid rigid-core style Georgia Carpet carries, and it is rated for every grade level, including basements.
Both are waterproof click-together floors with an attached pad. EverLife rigid core planks are 4.4 to 7 mm thick with a 1 mm IXPE pad. Hybrid rigid core is 10 mm thick with a 2 mm pad, so it feels more solid and sounds quieter underfoot.
The rigid-core and hybrid rigid-core styles are 100% waterproof, with locking joints that keep water from reaching the subfloor. DryBack styles are glued down, which keeps spills on the surface. [VERIFY: MSI’s waterproof rating for DryBack]
Not for rigid core or hybrid rigid core: both have a pad attached, so no separate underlayment is needed. DryBack styles are glued directly to the subfloor and use no pad.
MSI EverLife is sold through authorized flooring retailers. Georgia Carpet is an authorized dealer, ships EverLife nationwide from Dalton, Georgia, and offers samples and quotes at (800) 535-8789.
