Every Pergo laminate floor on this page comes from Pergo’s Elements family (Originals, Preferred and Ultra), and every one is covered by Pergo’s limited residential warranty against manufacturing defects for as long as the original buyer owns the home. Where the three lines differ is water: Originals carry Pergo’s Waterproof Warranty, while Preferred and Ultra carry WetProtect, which also covers the subfloor. Where steam mopping is allowed, apply the steam to a microfiber pad rather than directly to the floor, use the setting for wood floors or the lowest setting, and mop along the length of the planks only.
Full waterproof coverage needs a perimeter seal. Pergo requires the room’s perimeter to be sealed as the installation instructions describe, and strongly recommends a professionally installed seal. Water damage that comes in through an unsealed perimeter is not covered. On a WetProtect subfloor claim, Pergo covers reasonable labor to clean visible mold and mildew and reasonable labor and materials to repair or replace only the damaged sections of a wood subfloor. It does not cover insulation, floor joists, or structural, mechanical or electrical components.
